About The Gallery..

We are a real gallery operating on the web, not just a catalogue. We specialise in maritime and marine subjects, or artists with links to the sea or experience of the coastal way of life anywhere in the world. We stock high quality original contemporary works of art in all media. With a few exceptions, all of the work offered for sale comes from artists who are still earning their living by producing art. Our artists come mainly from Wales, Sweden and the East of England.

 

 

Sea Pictures Gallery Working Relationship with the Sea Prize

In September 2009 we became sponsors of the Royal Society of Marine Artists' Annual Exhibition and awarded the first Sea Pictures Gallery Working Relationship With The Sea Prize. The winner was one of the UK's foremost portrait painters Simon Davis RP RBSA with his portrait below entitled "Fish Sale, Newlyn". In 2010 we awarded the prize to Richard Dack RSMA, Secretary of the Royal Society of Marine Artists for his piece entitled "Working Below". This year's winner was John Lines RSMA RBSA RDAS KAG for his piece entitled Humber Workers.

 

 

 

 

Gift Certificates

Sometimes it is hard to decide what to buy for someone and art is such a personal thing. To help in these situations we have created a Gift Certificate which is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. If you think this would be appropriate for you, please ask us to arrange this for you.

 

 

 

 

Purchases

If you would like to purchase any of the items shown on the site, or enquire about others, please either phone us +44 (0) 1787 279 024 or email us sarah.alaric@seapicturesgallery.com  in the first instance to discuss availability and shipping requirements. We accept most of the major credit and debit cards  but not American Express. From 30th June 2011 the Payments Council is closing the Cheque Guarantee Card Scheme and cheques will no longer be accepted as a method of payment.

It is not our intention to create a shopping cart facility - these original works are not things you can standardise in terms of packing and shipping! We are happy to make the necessary shipping arrangements after consultation with our clients. The insurance of the goods whilst in transit is the responsibility of the purchaser.
 

Terms & Conditions

All goods featured on the website are available to purchase unless otherwise stated. Larger digital images can be sent by email to enable our customers to satisfy themselves that the item is suitable for their needs. No goods will be shipped until full payment has been received.  Goods purchased over the internet that are found to be unsuitable may be returned within 7 days of receipt as long as we have been informed of the situation and return shipping arrangements have been agreed. A full refund will be paid upon the safe return of the item or items concerned. We believe the goods featured on our site are accurately represented having been both professionally photographed and measured. Errors do sometimes occur and so all goods are sold E & O E.
