The Wapping Group of Artists

The Wapping Group of Artists has been in existence for over 60 years. It is one of the last active painting groups whose members meet each Wednesday at some point along the Thames, to paint en plein air . They also hold an annual exhibition of work at the Mall Galleries each Spring. At any one time there are 25 members and many are also active in other societies. There are two past Presidents of the Royal Society of Marine Artists for example.

The book we sell was produced to record the first sixty years of the group and each of the current members has a double page with examples of their wide ranging styles.
