Exhibitions Programme 2018

1st February – 5th March
We start the new year with an exhibition of work by artists we have not shown before. We are delighted to welcome Howard Coles, Jean Noble RI, Peter Jamieson, Haidee-Jo Summers ROI,  Lesley Munro and Sarah Rooms Heaphy to Sea Pictures Gallery and we hope our audience will enjoy this new work too.

9th March – 23rd April
Sea Nature is an exhibition that turns the attention to the coastal margins and wildlife rather than our usual boats and harbours. Brin Edwards SWLA, Ann Lewis VPRCA and Rebecca Nason will all be showing new work with us.

27th April – 11th June
This is our ninth exhibition on the art of the printmaker and is one of our most popular exhibitions. Working with many of the UK’s leading printmakers we will be showcasing etchings, wood engravings, linocut prints, wood block prints, lithographs and monotypes. There are blocks and tools and explanations from the artists about their work. there are books featuring the printmakers and, as always, a wide selection of artist produced cards.

21st June – 13th August
Our Summer Exhibition opens on Suffolk Day this year and is part of the River Stour Festival focussing on what goes on along the River Stour. From Clare to Manningtree there will be a large and diverse number of events, festivals and exhibitions throughout the summer. We shall be hosting a poetry reading in the gallery with music from The Columbines on Saturday 21st July from 6pm-8pm. There will be a pop-up bookshop on poetry books too with our good friend Kate from Harris&Harris Books.
