Elizabeth trained as a painter at the Southern College of Art, Bournemouth, then at Goldsmith’s College and the Central School before discovering much later, the joy of etching at Morley College in South London. Living then in Greenwich she taught art locally and was a founder member of the Greenwich Printmakers which is a co-operative with its own gallery in Greenwich Market. In 1988 she moved to live on Mersea island and joined the Gainsborough’s House Print Workshops and was a member of the East Anglian Group, 12PM.

Her work is inspired by sea, sand patterns, boats, pebbles, imprints in mud, seabirds and fish. Her work has been selected a number of times for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and also for ‘Originals’ at the Mall Galleries. She has had work shown at the Barbican, the National Threatre, Eastern Open and the Affordably Art Show.

Her work is held in public collections at the Ministry of Defence and the House of Lords, library collections in Northumberland, Lewisham and Greenwich and the Colchester Castle collection to name but a few. Her work has most recently been included in two Ian Collins books – Water Marks and Wildlife in Printmaking.
