Kate Schuricht is a professional member of the Craft Potters Association specialising in raku and stoneware ceramics. Inspired by the passage of time and connections to the past, Kate’s boxes, jugs and vessels capture a timeless quality. Solitary forms possess stillness, while intimate groupings embody an air of contemplation.

Conceived as small scale installations, her elegant, architectural forms provide a simple yet striking backdrop for a range of raku crackles and subtle stoneware hues. The addition of natural materials such as wood, stone and precious metal gilding creates harmony within her ceramics.

Kate’s work is collected world-wide and she has undertaken many commissions including for British Airways, The British Embassy in St Petersburg and the Director of the Ibaraki Ceramic Museum in Japan. Her recent publication – Revelations in Clay – is a comprehensive look at her work, ideas and techniques from 1996 to the present day.
