Portrait
Tracey Ross began her career as an artist working with textiles, taking an advanced diploma in textiles at Great Yarmouth College before going on to complete a BA Hons in Visual Studies at NUA and a Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector at City College, Norwich.

Her work explores the horizon — drawing inspiration from the huge skies and ever–changing light and atmosphere of North Norfolk. Capturing the energy of nature and a sense of joy when beholding the beauty of creation are important aspects of each piece. This exploration brings a freedom, a space, that allows the creative desires to surface. Sketching is a key part to her practice, as they allow the paintings to become a liberating journey of discovery, with each new work bringing an opportunity to explore the making process.

Tracey is represented by galleries in Norfolk and London as well as at Sea Pictures Gallery in Suffolk. Her work has been exhibited extensively in Norfolk over the years and more recently at the Royal Society of Marine Artists’ exhibition in London and also the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour.

She has been the subject of articles on contemporary artists in North Norfolk Living Magazine, Meet the Artists Jackson’s Art Blog and was a featured artist for Norfolk Open Studios.
